    Louie Cordon is a Chicago-based actor, comedian, and writer. A University of Michigan graduate, he has written and performed in many sketch revues such as Satisfy Yourself, Bad Trip, and Throwback to the Future.

     

    He recently wrote and performed in Game the System: A Competitive Musical which played in Judy's Beat Lounge at Second City. You can catch him with Storytown at Stage 773, Patchwork at The Playground Theater, and Trigger Happy at The Annoyance. He's also with the iO Comedy Network's digital sketch team, Free Street Parking.

     

    His first feature length film, Filling the House, is currently in post-production.

     

    Succulents and 80's musical instruments bring him lots of joy.

     

    He is proudly represented by DDO Chicago.

Surely Earth’s brightest minds can solve the problem, if only science wasn’t so expensive! A partnering with a TV network, a team of scientists who all happen to be good looking and one celebrity guest are assembled to set out to save the moon and fall in love on Earth’s newest hit reality show: Moon Base!     Directed by Anneliese Toft with original music from Amanda Murphy, Game the System: A Competitive Musical explored human nature as affected by capitalism. This satirical musical debuted in Judy's Beat Lounge at Second City.

    I Wanna Believe: An X-Files Parody Musical

    I Wanna Believe: An X-Files Parody Musical was a show that ran at The Annoyance Theater. I played the role of Cigarette Smoking Man during its original run. It was directed by Jessica Mitolo, written by Emily Hyatt with music from Matthew Pollack and choreography by Shannon Baucus.

    Infinite Sundaes

    Infinite Sundaes is The Second City Training Center's Music House Ensemble. Over the course of a year, the ensemble learned different styles of improvised long form musicals. This resulted in the creation of an hour-long satirical musical scripted through improvisation.

    Crisis Absurded

    Graduates of the Second City Conservatory write and produce their own sketch revue. Directed by Anne Libera and music directed by Stephanie McCullough, this revue ran for four weeks in Second City's e.t.c. Theater.

    Satisfy Yourself

    My independent team, Spring Break, wrote and performed in a sketch revue that ran for four weeks in the Blackout Cabaret. Directed by Casey Whitaker, it explored themes of pleasure, indulgence and influence. Writing samples and video available upon request.

    Bad Trip

    This was Spring Break's second original sketch revue that I wrote and performed in. It ran for four weeks in the Blackout Cabaret. Directed by Julie Marchiano, it explored themes of uncertainty, escapism, and self-discovery. Writing samples and video available upon request.

    Throwback to the Future

    This was Spring Break's third original sketch revue that I wrote and performed in. It ran for three weeks at Under the Gun Theater. Directed by Alan Linic, it explored themes of nostalgia and change. Writing samples and video available upon request.

    Storytown

    Storytown is an interactive, fully improvised musical that plays every Saturday morning at Stage 773. Under the direction of Jill Olson, we help bring children's stories and ideas to life.

    Jumping to Allusions

    I was an actor in this sketch show directed by Jeff Griggs which ran for four weeks in Donny's Skybox at Second City. This revue sold out each week of its run.

    Canned Tears

    This was a mental health variety show written, produced, and directed by Sarah Baumann, Sarah Gorman, and Natalia Rodas with additional writing from Ross Childs and George Viebranz Jr. I was an actor in this show which ran for two weeks in Judy's Beat Lounge.

    Sugar, We're Going Down Singing

    Graduates of the Music Improv Conservatory at The Second City Training Center write and produce their own musical sketch revue. Directed by Bina Martin and with music by Stephanie McCullough, this revue ran for seven weeks in Donny's Skybox. Writing samples and video available upon request.

    Sorry, Grandma

    I was an actor in this sketch show directed by Sean Cusick which ran for four weeks in Donny's Skybox at Second City. This revue sold out three of the four weeks of its run.

    Nuggets

    Nuggets was a short form improv ensemble directed by Chris Kervick that played with a rotating cast at The Annoyance for about a year.

    BEEZEY

    BEEZEY was a ComedySportz House Team that performed in House Party at the CSz Chicago Theater. Over the course of a year, we developed three forms: Improvised Bourne Identity, Improvised Wilt Disneigh, and The BEEZEY. Coached by Ryan Ford & Harz Sondericker.

    CHIMERA

    CHIMERA was a ComedySportz House Team that performed in House Party at the CSz Chicago Theater. We used game-based improv to develop two original formats: Time Cops and CHIMERA - The Board Game. Coached by Jason Stockdale & Keith Whipple.

    A Streetcar on Fire

    I was an actor in this sketch show directed by Rob Kozlowski which ran for four weeks in Donny's Skybox at Second City.
